How a Lever works
Today our class were talking about how to use a lever and I will tell you about. As you can see a picture of how a lever works. The thing on top is called a load, a load is always on top so we could test how heavy it is. The long stick is called a lever, a lever holds the load so it stays still and the bottom is called Fulcrum. The thing that makes it go down is your effort.If you put the fulcrum in the front, it would not go down, but if you put the fulcrum next to the load it will go all the way down to touch the surface. Even when you use your pinkie or thumb it would go straight down

Mother’s day
What Is Mothers day? Mothers day is when our mothers are recognized For all the things that they have done for us. People mostly get presents, Cards flowers Or even chocolate to.Children help their mothers to clean ,cook and organize things. They help their Mums cook and clean the table so their families could gather around and have a family feast altogether. They like when they see their mums smile and laugh.
What I did for Mother's day.
On May the 9 We celebrated Mother’s day. The first thing we did was cleaning so that our house was clean. The second thing we did was Cook in our big kitchen. Well Maselino (my brother) and my Mum were cooking, me and Ana (My lil sister) went up stairs and decorated my mum's room. We decorated it with Her favorite Roses,Painted the wall Her favorite colour Purple and then my dad went to the shops to buy a new wedding rind and her favorite chocolate.

My name is Ilalini. I am in year 5. I love my new school Glen Innes School. My favorite subjects are Maths, Writing, Reading, and Art. I enjoy playing Netball, Touch, Rugby and Cricket.
